Stephenville, Texas — Mile-Wide Object, Military Pursuit

Over 40 witnesses in the Stephenville, Texas area reported a massive object approximately one mile wide with white strobing lights flying low and silently in January 2008. F-16s pursued the object. FAA radar data obtained by MUFON through FOIA showed the object tracking toward the Crawford, Texas airspace — the location of President Bush's ranch — before military jets pursued.

UK MoD UAP Files — National Archives Mass Release (2008–2012)

Between 2008 and 2012, the UK Ministry of Defence released over 6,700 pages of classified UAP files covering 1978–2007 through the UK National Archives. The release included RAF pilot reports, MoD intelligence assessments, and public correspondence. The files were released in batches under the Freedom of Information Act. The UK MoD's own assessment documents acknowledged that some UAP reports defied conventional explanation and warranted scientific investigation.

Kumburgaz Turkey Extended Footage 2008

A Turkish security guard captured sustained telescopic video footage of an apparent disc-shaped craft with visible interior over the Marmara Sea across multiple nights in 2007–2008. Turkey's national science authority TÜBİTAK analyzed the footage and concluded it could not be explained.

Stephenville Texas Mass Sighting 2008

◎Stephenville, Erath County, Texas

Dozens of residents of Stephenville and Erath County Texas reported an enormous silent craft with multiple lights tracked toward Crawford Texas — site of President George W. Bush's Prairie Chapel Ranch — in January 2008. MUFON received over 50 reports. The FAA confirmed an airspace anomaly. Radar data obtained by MUFON showed an unidentified track over the restricted airspace around the Presidential ranch.

Turkey Kumburgaz Video Encounter 2008-2009

◎Kumburgaz, Marmara Sea, Turkey

Night watchman Yalcin Yalman captured multiple videos of disc-shaped craft over the Marmara Sea from the Kumburgaz holiday village on multiple occasions in 2008 and 2009. The footage was submitted to the Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council (TUBITAK) for analysis. TUBITAK concluded the footage could not be explained by conventional phenomena. Turkey's National Council of Physical Sciences issued a statement about the footage.

Phoenix Arizona Strobing Orb Sequence 2008

◎Phoenix, Arizona

A formation of amber orbs rearranged themselves in geometric patterns over Phoenix for 20 minutes, observed by hundreds of residents and Phoenix police. Sky Harbor Airport tower crew observed and reported. Phoenix Fire Department helicopters launched but could not locate the objects from the air. The encounter occurred in the approach corridor to Sky Harbor and FAA files on the event were requested.
