Stephenville Texas Mass Sighting 2008

On January 8, 2008, a significant wave of UAP reports emerged from the small city of Stephenville and Erath County, Texas, with dozens of witnesses describing an enormous craft with multiple arranged lights flying at low altitude. Local pilot Steve Allen estimated the craft at approximately a mile long. Erath County Constable Lee Roy Gaitan was among the witnesses. Initial USAF denial of any local flight activity was later reversed when the USAF acknowledged that F-16s from Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base had been conducting training in the area. MUFON obtained FAA radar data through FOIA that showed unidentified tracks heading toward Crawford, Texas — the location of President Bush's Prairie Chapel Ranch and restricted Presidential airspace. The proximity of the radar tracks to Presidential restricted airspace drew significant national media attention and congressional inquiry interest.
