DECLASSIFIED DETAILS

On the night of March 31, 1993, a wave of sightings of large triangular and diamond-shaped craft swept across central England from Wales to the Midlands, lasting approximately six hours. RAF police at RAF Cosford and RAF Shropshire filed official sighting reports — giving the event unusual credibility as multiple service personnel made formal documentation. A meteorological officer at RAF Shawbury observed a large triangular craft that he estimated at several hundred feet in size performing slow hovering maneuvers followed by extreme acceleration. The craft illuminated the ground with a beam of light. Hundreds of civilian witnesses across Shropshire, Staffordshire, and Cheshire filed reports with police. MOD officials, including UFO desk officer Nick Pope, formally investigated. Pope subsequently stated this was the most significant British incident during his tenure and expressed frustration that the MOD failed to commission a full scientific inquiry. Declassified MOD documents confirm the investigation and the failure to identify the craft.

Belgian Triangle F-16 Lock-On 1990

Belgium — Wavre area

The Belgian Air Force's most dramatic scramble involved two F-16s achieving radar lock on a triangular craft nine times — each time the craft performed evasive maneuvers reducing its speed from 280 mph to 20 mph in a second. The general of the Belgian Air Force held a public press conference confirming the event.
