AT A GLANCE

The USS Omaha transmedium footage shows a spherical object descending from 21,000 feet and entering the ocean at high speed with no splash. Authenticated by the Pentagon in 2021. This is the clearest filmed transmedium UAP entry in the authenticated military record.

DECLASSIFIED DETAILS

On July 15, 2019, USS Omaha (LCS-12) and attached F/A-18 Super Hornet crews documented a spherical metallic object that descended from 21,000 feet altitude to ocean surface level and entered the water at high speed with minimal surface disruption — an entry profile inconsistent with any conventional aircraft or drone impact. The spherical object, approximately 6 feet in diameter based on FLIR data, made a clean ocean entry. US Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft were subsequently tasked to search the descent area for any subsurface contact — none was found. The USS Omaha footage — authenticated by Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough in April 2021 as 'taken by Navy personnel' and 'investigated by the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force' — remains the most clearly documented filmed transmedium event in the official US government record. The footage was originally classified SECRET but released after journalist release requests. The object's behavior — hovering, then transitioning to high-speed ocean entry — is consistent with transmedium USO behavior documented in Soviet naval archives and multiple US Navy historical records.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS
  • Pentagon-authenticated footage
  • 6-foot sphere FLIR estimate
  • Clean ocean entry — no splash
  • P-8 subsurface search — no contact

Pacific Fleet Multiple UAP Events 2019

Pacific Ocean, USS Omaha CSG operating area

Multiple UAP contacts were tracked by the USS Omaha Carrier Strike Group during July 4th independence holiday operations. Spherical objects swarmed ship formations and one was tracked diving into the ocean. P-8 Poseidon crews were tasked with submarine search of the descent area.

USS Omaha — Transmedium Sphere Entry 2019

Pacific Ocean, off San Diego, California, USA

USS Omaha combat information center footage captured a spherical object hovering over the ship and entering the ocean without a splash. The Navy sent a submarine to search for wreckage and found nothing. The declassified footage was released by the DoD in 2021 as part of the first official UAP video release and is among the cases referenced in the 2021 UAP Task Force preliminary assessment.
