DECLASSIFIED DETAILS

On January 7, 1987, Elizabethtown Police Department officers responding to citizen calls made direct visual contact with a large luminous orb at approximately 100 feet altitude over the city. The object was larger than the surrounding two-story buildings. Multiple officers observed it from different positions across the city and communicated via police radio in real time — creating a contemporaneous multi-officer documentation of the event. Kentucky State Police officers in adjacent jurisdictions were vectored to the area and also made visual contact. The object moved slowly across the city before departing at high speed to the north. All observing officers described complete silence from the object despite its proximity. National UFO Reporting Center received over 40 phone calls from Elizabethtown civilians. The FBI's Louisville field office received a report. The detailed multi-officer radio contemporaneous documentation is considered high-quality evidence by law enforcement UAP researchers.
