AT A GLANCE

A massive silent black triangle was tracked by multiple police officers across southern Illinois in radio relay contact over 30 minutes. Officers across five jurisdictions — Highland, Lebanon, Shiloh, Millstadt, and Dupo — independently observed and reported the same object via police radio. Scott Air Force Base radar tracked an unknown contact. One of the most extensively documented police officer UAP encounters.

DECLASSIFIED DETAILS

In the early hours of January 5, 2000, Illinois police officer Ed Scott in Highland became the first of multiple officers to observe a massive triangular craft. As he radioed his dispatch, officers in adjacent jurisdictions began reporting the same object. Over 30 minutes, officers from Highland, Lebanon, Shiloh, Millstadt, and Dupo Illinois, as well as Missouri state troopers, collectively tracked the object by radio relay as it moved across a broad geographic area. The object was described as having three white lights at its vertices, a red light in the center, and making no sound despite its enormous estimated size — larger than a football field. Scott Air Force Base confirmed that civilian and military radar had tracked an unidentified contact in the area during the same time window. The case is extensively documented through recorded police radio transmissions, individual officer reports, and the Scott AFB radar log request. Researchers consider it one of the definitive law enforcement UAP encounter cases.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS
  • Officers from 5 jurisdictions tracked by radio relay simultaneously
  • Scott AFB radar confirmed unknown contact
  • Police radio transmissions recorded and preserved
  • Larger than football field — silent — low altitude
  • Missouri state troopers independently confirmed
  • Most extensively documented law enforcement UAP encounter

Chilean Army Antofagasta Triangle 2010

Antofagasta, Atacama Desert, Chile

A large black triangle was observed hovering over the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array radio telescope complex and the Chilean Army garrison near Antofagasta. ALMA Observatory staff observed and photographed the object. The Chilean Air Force's Committee for the Study of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (CEFAA) investigated and concluded the triangle could not be explained by known aircraft.

USS Nimitz Atlantic Triangle Events 2017

Atlantic Ocean, Virginia Capes area

During pre-deployment workup exercises off the Virginia Capes, USS Theodore Roosevelt airwing pilots encountered triangular UAP on multiple days. The encounters produced the Gimbal and GoFast FLIR videos subsequently authenticated by the Pentagon. East Coast NORAD tracked anomalous contacts in the operating area.

Hudson Valley Boomerang Wave 1982-1986

Hudson Valley, New York

Over 5,000 witnesses across New York's Hudson Valley reported a massive boomerang or V-shaped craft between 1982 and 1986. The object repeatedly hovered over densely populated suburban areas at low altitude with no sound. Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant security filed official reports on multiple occasions. FAA's Albany center received reports. Researchers J. Allen Hynek and Phil Imbrogno conducted ground-level investigation.
