DECLASSIFIED DETAILS

In late January 1996, a concentrated wave of UAP sightings began over Gosford and the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. New South Wales Police officers from multiple local commands personally observed and reported large craft at low altitude near residential areas. Officers described structured craft up to 100 meters in length with multiple lights. Some officers reported craft hovering over homes and power lines before departing at high speed. Naval Air Station Nowra, approximately 100 km south of Gosford, reported anomalous radar contacts corresponding to the wave period. The Australian Department of Defence reviewed the NSW Police reports. The Gosford wave ran from late January through March 1996, generating hundreds of civilian reports and multiple official police reports. NSW Police Inspector Gary Grierson accepted and filed the officer reports through official channels. The wave attracted national media coverage in Australia. Australian Senator John Black submitted a parliamentary question about the Gosford events, prompting a formal government response. The NSW Police reports — including officer personal observations and witness statements — are among the most formally documented police UAP reports in Australian official records.

Woomera Rocket Range UAP Incidents — Australian Dept of Air

Woomera Rocket Range, South Australia

Multiple unidentified craft were observed and tracked on radar over the top-secret Woomera Rocket Range in South Australia between 1954 and 1956. The range housed joint Australian-British-American missile testing programs. Australian Dept of Air SECRET reports, later declassified, document RAAF radar tracking of objects at extreme altitudes performing maneuvers beyond any known aircraft. British Ministry of Supply personnel and US Army observers filed corroborating reports.
