DECLASSIFIED DETAILS

On August 12, 1965, a large metallic disc hovered over the Duperial petrochemical complex and an adjacent Argentine Army garrison in Capitan Bermudez, Santa Fe Province. Approximately 150 witnesses including Army soldiers, garrison officers, and factory workers observed the disc at close range. Vehicle engines and electrical systems failed across a radius of approximately 400 meters. Compass readings became erratic. The disc was reported to emit a humming sound and a bluish-white glow before departing rapidly. Argentine Army intelligence conducted an official investigation, interviewing witnesses and documenting the zone of vehicle interference. The classified Argentine military report noted the simultaneous compass and vehicle interference as consistent with electromagnetic effects. US Embassy Buenos Aires forwarded a summary to the Defense Intelligence Agency. The case represents one of the most documented electromagnetic interference events in South American UAP history.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS
  • 150 military and civilian witnesses simultaneously
  • Vehicle engine outages — documented electromagnetic interference
  • Compass failures across 400-meter radius
  • Argentine Army intelligence official investigation
  • DIA received US Embassy summary report
  • Electromagnetic effects documented with measurement

Yuma Proving Ground Disc Over Test Range 1988

Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona

A metallic disc hovered over the US Army Yuma Proving Ground weapons test range during live-fire testing operations. Test engineers and range safety personnel observed the craft for 20 minutes. Optical tracking instruments trained on projectile trajectories accidentally captured images of the disc. Army intelligence was notified. The encounter caused a temporary suspension of testing operations as range safety protocols required an unknown aircraft halt.

Coyne Helicopter Incident — Army Reserve Near-Collision 1973

Mansfield, Ohio

A US Army Reserve UH-1 Huey helicopter crew of four experienced a near-collision with a large metallic object over Ohio. A green beam from the craft filled the cockpit and the helicopter began rising despite the pilot pushing the collective to full-down. The crew was pulled from 2000 feet to 3800 feet involuntarily. Ground witnesses in a car below also observed the encounter. The incident was formally investigated by the Center for UFO Studies and submitted to the AIAA.
