USS Kitty Hawk CVA-63 — Pre-Nimitz Strike Group UAP Series

◎Western Pacific Ocean, South China Sea / Philippine Sea

The USS Kitty Hawk carrier strike group operating in the Pacific documented UAP encounters in late 2003 that preceded the famous 2004 Nimitz encounters by less than a year. VF-154 Black Knights F-14D crews reported encounters with unidentified objects that disappeared on radar approach. The incidents were reported through standard military channels. AARO incorporated the Kitty Hawk strike group UAP reports in its historical database.

Area 51 Perimeter UAP Activity 2003

◎Nevada Test Site — Area 51, Groom Lake

Groom Lake security personnel and classified test program staff observed luminous orbs performing extended maneuvers around the perimeter of the most classified installation in the US for 45 minutes. The orbs appeared to conduct systematic surveillance of the facility. The incident was classified under special access programs.

Kenya Air Force Eldoret Triangle 2003

◎Eldoret, Rift Valley, Kenya

A silent black triangle hovered over Eldoret Airport and the adjacent Kenya Air Force Laikipia corridor at night. Eldoret Airport ATC tracked an unknown contact while the Kenya Air Force base reported communications jamming on military frequencies. US Embassy Nairobi forwarded the incident report to DIA. One of the few documented East African military UAP encounters.
