Levelland Texas Electromagnetic Wave 1957

On November 2, 1957, beginning around 11 PM, Levelland Police Chief A.J. Fowler received a succession of reports from motorists on at least 6 different highways radiating from Levelland. Each independently reported that a luminous egg-shaped or ellipsoid craft sitting near the road had caused their vehicle's engine to stall and headlights to fail. When the craft departed, vehicles restarted without mechanical assistance. The reports came from different roads in different compass directions from Levelland, covering a geographic spread of over 10 miles. US Army Reserve officer Captain Leland Presley was among the witnesses. Project Blue Book investigators visited Levelland but offered an explanation of thunderstorm electrical activity, despite weather records showing clear skies. The coordinated vehicle interference effect across a wide geographic area simultaneously — without any central communication between witnesses — remains one of the most analytically robust electromagnetic interference UAP events in the Project Blue Book period.
