AT A GLANCE

Indian Coast Guard vessels patrolling the Gujarat coast reported multiple luminous orbs performing formation maneuvers near the coast for 35 minutes. The encounter coincided with a significant increase in unidentified aerial object reports from the Indian western coastal zone in 2013. Indian Navy Western Command received the report. The Gujarat encounters were part of the broader pattern of Indian UAP sightings that prompted the DRDO Ladakh monitoring program.

DECLASSIFIED DETAILS

On September 19, 2013, Indian Coast Guard vessels on routine patrol off the Gujarat coast near Bordi encountered multiple luminous orbs performing formation maneuvers near the coastline at 500 feet altitude. The encounter lasted 35 minutes. Gujarat Maritime Board vessels in the area independently observed the same orbs. The coastal fishing community in the area reported the lights had been appearing intermittently over recent weeks. Indian Navy Western Command received a formal report from the Coast Guard. The Gujarat coastal encounters in 2013 were part of a broader pattern of increased Indian UAP observations across both the western coastal zone and the northern Ladakh border area during that period, contributing to the case that led DRDO to deploy scientific monitoring equipment to Ladakh. The Gujarat cases represented the maritime dimension of India's 2013 UAP pattern.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS
  • Indian Coast Guard formal report to Navy Western Command
  • Gujarat Maritime Board independent vessel corroboration
  • 35-minute extended formation observation
  • Part of 2013 India-wide UAP pattern — linked to DRDO Ladakh decision
  • Maritime dimension of India's 2013 UAP activity
  • Coastal fishing community reported weeks of repeated appearances

Korean War UAP Intercepts — USAF Combat Reports

Korean Peninsula and Yellow Sea, Korea

US Air Force and Navy combat pilots filed dozens of formal UAP encounter reports during the Korean War. B-29 bomber crews and fighter pilots described glowing orbs and structured craft performing extreme maneuvers in combat airspace. USAF Far East Air Force (FEAF) officially investigated and filed reports with Project Blue Book at Wright-Patterson AFB. Several cases were classified SECRET and are now available through NARA.

Japan JSDF Radar UAP Detections — Parliamentary Disclosure

Japanese territorial airspace (multiple sectors)

In April 2023, the Japanese government disclosed to its Parliament (the Diet) that the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) had recorded multiple unidentified aerial objects detected by radar that could not be identified as any known aircraft or drone. The disclosure followed a formal parliamentary inquiry. Japan's Ministry of Defense established new UAP reporting protocols in 2020 and the 2023 disclosure represented the first formal parliamentary acknowledgment of operational UAP detections.
