Before the Justice Department's large 2026 release, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform obtained and published Epstein records of its own using subpoenas. Its releases are also linked from the DOJ's Epstein Library. This guide lists them using the Committee's own announcements.
On August 5, 2025, Committee Chairman James Comer issued a subpoena to the Justice Department for Epstein-related records. On August 25, 2025, he subpoenaed the estate of Jeffrey Epstein.
When the Justice Department adds Epstein files or the Pentagon publishes new UFO files, we email you a short summary and a link to the official records.
• September 2, 2025 — the Committee released 33,295 pages of Epstein-related records provided by the Justice Department. The Department said it would continue producing records while ensuring the redaction of victim identities and any child sexual abuse material. • September 8, 2025 — the Committee released records provided by the Epstein estate, and said it had obtained information about Epstein's bank accounts and would pursue those records. • By November 18, 2025, according to the Committee, it had released roughly 65,000 pages in total.
The Committee published the files through shared folders linked from its press releases.
In 2026 the Committee released transcripts of interviews conducted for its investigation, including the transcript of its May 29, 2026 interview with former Attorney General Pam Bondi (released June 4, 2026) and an interview with former banking executive Jes Staley (released August 26, 2026). Transcripts record what witnesses told the Committee; statements in them are the witnesses' accounts, not findings.
The Committee's releases came before, and are separate from, the Justice Department's releases under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The DOJ's Epstein Library includes a "House Disclosures" section linking to the Committee's records.
Our standard for this section: we report only what Justice Department releases, court records, the law itself and the Inspector General say. We do not name victims, and we do not publish lists of people who appear in the files — appearing in a document is not evidence of wrongdoing. Allegations are labelled as allegations.
